driving is a language

Driving is a language.

And there are different dialects within the language.

All of America speaks one driving language mainly.  Drive on the right side of the road, obey the traffic laws, etc.   And everyone here speaks the language, some better than others.

But, the Dallas area has a dialect of running red lights and switching lanes crazy-like.  If you are not from this area, you might not know to wait when your light turns green, to make sure the red light runners are through!

Other towns may have more people speeding, or more people not using signals as their main dialect.  But we have the red light runners.

I was in Saratoga, NY last month and for the first time of my life learned 'right on red'?!? Quite exciting for a Norwegian :-)

I never did mind driving in Dallas too much. Though I come from the land of rear-enders!
