Where Were You?

9 – 11 – 2001 will be one of those days that you remember where you were when it happened.  So, I ask everyone:  Where were you on that day?

I was sleeping in the extra bedroom with my newborn daughter.  She was just a month old at the time.  I slept in a different room with her because I had to be near her if she cried and that way my husband could get the sleep he needed to go to work every day.  I would fret with every sound that she made, so for white noise, I would keep the little T.V. on in the bedroom.  I kept it on the Texas Cable News Channel (TCN) at the time.  I woke up early that morning to the news!  They were showing the first building with a live feed.  As I was listening to the reporters, trying to grasp what was happening, I saw the second plane hit the other building!  That was when I knew it couldn’t have been some kind of mistake!  Some one planned this!

I wondered what kind of world I had just brought my kids into.

Hi Karen,
Thanks for visiting me. I think every parent and/or grandparent wondered these very thoughts on that awful day...
May we never forget!
