All Kinds of Stuff

I had a wonderful visit with my sister while she was with us.  The kids really enjoyed her also!  But it will be nice to get back to the daily routine of things.  I have some TV shows to catch up with.  I have been taping things in the evenings, when I work and stuff, and now I have like 2 ½ tapes to search through and see if I need (want) to watch any of it.

How slow is she????

Well, it normally take me about an hour to do regular grocery shopping, but she wanted to come with me and it took a little over 2 hours!!!!!  My husband was calling me in the store (on my cell) saying “Do you know what time it is???”  We went after we put the kids to bed, so we didn’t even have the kids there to distract us!  Okay, so we went to the big Wal-Mart for groceries (sorry Jules, had to go there), so we went all over the store too.

     My husband bought (from a co-worker of his) a full size bed for our girl.  So we put her bed (which is the top bunk) into the boy’s room on top of his bed, now the bunk bed looks like a bunk bed!  He loves it, because now he is old enough to sleep on the top bunk!  Before he wasn’t (obviously, or I wouldn’t have said that).

     So the point of that little bit was that I had to look at the bed spreads at Wal-Mart while I was there too.

But seriously, I think that if you tell her to hurry-it-up, she takes her sweet time even longer!  Stubborn girl!

But we still had a fun visit!  I was sad to see her go.  I bet she cried on her way home because she was sad to go too.  She lives in the Houston/Galveston area and I am in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, both in Texas, but it takes about 6 hours to drive it, and you have to try to plan to miss the rush-hour traffic in both big cities.

     Tonight we are going over to the In-Law’s house to have a birthday party for the SIL, so I will miss American Idol tonight!  I will have to watch it later and give another update like I did the last time.
