2. My sister is visiting this week, and my kids are glad to see their Aunt "L". 3... I have a few theories on things. 4.... My theory on why I am fat: Because when I was pregnant, both times, I lost about 25 pounds in the beginning due to some pretty bad morning sickness, all day long, for about 4 months straight where I could eat maybe a toasted Eggo waffle with nothing on it, completely dry, and that would be the only thing I could keep down for the day. 5. So my body thought I was on a starvation diet, so when I was able to eat food again, it held onto all the fat it could in case I have to starve again. My babies were able to live off of my body fat for those months, they still grew, I guess that is why... 6. They didn't feel the need to hospitalize me and feed me through my veins during this time. 7.. My other theory is on my house cleaning abilities. 8. Some of you may laugh at this, but I am a perfectionist, so when I clean something, I want it to be done right and completely clean, not just "surface" clean. So... 9. If I can't clean it right (due to time or kids bugging me or whatever), then I would rather not clean it at all. Make any sense? Probably not. But hey, it's only my theory. 10. I don't mind washing clothes, but I hate to fold them or hang them up. I don't know why. 11. Also, I don't mind washing dishes, but I hate to empty the dishwasher. Still, I don't know why. 12. I hate to empty the cat litter box. Bleh. That's why. 13. Yay! I filled up all thirteen things! 2. karin 3. karen 4. Katherine |

Maybe we need a 'Karen' blog ring! only I'm too lazy to keep it up, probably.
i don't mind putting the clothes in the washing machine, but I hate getting them out and hanging them up. see, it's not that weird. :)
I agree with both theories!
I had Hyperemesis Gravidarum when I was pregnant with Jacob. Hospitalized several times. So I agree with the "starvation" theory ;)
And if I can't clean it right... then not at all. That's my theory, too! The other day... when the new couch and coffee table was delivered... Jacob came home from school, looked around and said, "Are you going to keep it like this?" Now, that's sad when your kid's hoping the house stays clean ;)
Happy T13! My 13 are up!
Why can't the house just clean itself? That would be much better wouldn't it? :) My 13 are up!
Oh, I so agree with you about cleaning, emptying the dishwasher AND folding clothes. So, we can't both be weird, lol.
i never seem to empty the dishwasher. it's like this extra cabinet that has running water in it!! ha!
I hate folding clothes too and putting them away...LOL
Oh, and btw, if and when I ever am able to renovate my kitchen I'm getting those drawer style dishwashers (two of them) so that I never have to empty them. The stuff can stay in them for all I care. I'm too short anyway (5' 0") to always be climbing on a stepladder to put 1/2 of the stuff away.
Just a random story...I ran into a gal I have known for some time who is overweight. WELL, she is pregnant now and has lost over 55 lbs just being pregnant! She feels fine and the baby is growing, she is due next month, and the doc took her off work but isn't too concerned because she has some to weight to spare. I couldn't believe it, I gained weight with both my kids although I am a large gal as well. I still haven't lost baby weight from Connor and he's 5! I don't know...sometimes life is sooo unfair. :)
Just thought I'd share....
Hope you are having a good week with your sister.
Hi Karen, In answer to your question a drawer dishwasher is just what it sounds like. It's a dishwasher but styled so that instead of opening a door and pulling out a rack you just pull the whole thing out like a drawer. It's not as big as a regular dishwasher but I figure two of them would make up to be the same size as a regular dishwasher.
I will have to go online to find this drawer dishwasher thing you speak of. I can't imagine it.
Thanks for the story, Jodi!
