Well, so has anybody been to a high school football game lately? I haven’t been to one since I was in high school, I guess. I went to one Friday night. I always used to enjoy the halftime show the most! I took the two kids and met a friend there with her two kids.
I could not believe my eyes when I saw the marching bands of both teams! When I was in high school (in the 80’s) the band wore full band uniforms no matter what month it was, hot or cold. Long pants, boots, jackets, the whole bit! No, not now. Now they wear matching t-shirts and khaki shorts that can be short or knee length and any shade of darkness! OMGosh! How un-formal! Un-professional! They did not look as sharp and crisp as I remember.
The cheer leaders where cute and the dancer-ettes with the band were fine. My daughter was kind of in my way, so I wasn’t able to enjoy it like I wanted. Then when I noticed the band, I could focus on nothing else.

Isn't that just the pits? things have changed so much since we were in school. Chad is teaching high school now and he cannot believe the things that kids do now! He comes home shocked every day. *sigh*
Around here the marching bands take things very seriously and still wear the full uniform. Spring High School's band won several awards at some marching competition last year. The boys and I go to games when they aren't doing something else. I always remember when we were in high school...
So you have a crush for men (boys) in uniform ;-)
Btw: Are you talking about football where you use your feet or do you still mean it the American way? LoL
