Our Cat :(

Well, we have to put our cat, Frosty to sleep this weekend! We are sad. He is about 8 years old and has diabetes. His insulin has been discontinued so he would have to switch to a more expensive brand and be checked every 2 weeks to see how he is doing with it, and he never seemed right anyway. We had to up his dosage every time when he was first on insulin. And he doesn’t act like he feels good. He limps around because I have been giving him shots for about a year now in his hips, morning and night. He cries in the night, he is afraid of people, he is afraid of the outdoors, he has special diet food for his diabetes, he throws up often. No one would want to adopt him like this. Poor cat. I tried calling the spca and the local shelter, but they said that under the circumstances, they would have to put him to sleep too. So it had to be done.
We are very sad about this.

I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. It's good that you're not going to let him suffer. So many people I know, namely my mom and my best friend, keep their old, sick cats alive simply because they cannot bear to part with them and I just hate to see animals suffer, it's just not fair. You're cat will be in good hands though and will be happy. It's a good thing you're doing.
