Thanksgiving Thursday Thirteen 2006

Thirteen Things that Karen! is thankful for...
  1. I am thankful for my family, and I will go into detail... my kids! I love my kids more than I ever knew possible! When I was a kid and I would think about what I wanted to be when I grew up, it didn't matter to me what my job was, I just wanted to be a mother and have kids. Okay, back then I wanted 4 kids, 2 boys and 2 girls and for some of them to be a set of twins. But now I am perfectly happy with one boy and one girl.
  2. I am thankful for my husband. He puts up with me and my messy self, though I try to clean up and be neat. It just doesn't come naturally to me. I love him.
  3. Believe it or not, I am thankful for my in-laws! They help us out with so much! They helped us buy our house. They help by buying the kids clothes. They help by free baby-sitting! I am so thankful that my kids have a great set of grandparents, especially since both my parents are gone. I am glad to have this family. And that includes my S-I-L too! And her kid, my kid's little cousin. It's great to have family that lives close.
  4. I am thankful to have my sister in my life. She is my older sister, so she has taken care of me a lot throughout my life. I may have died from the flu one time if she didn't take me to the doctor herself. That is just one example. There are many more.
  5. I am thankful for my friend Julianne. We go to lunch about once a week. We are a sounding board for each other. We can tell each other stuff without judging. We met because our boys were in pre-school together (of which the in-laws paid for, thankfully) and our boys became best buds, and so did we!
  6. I am thankful for the house we live in. I know it is not as fabulous as other people's houses, but it is more fabulous than some houses. It is definitely better than living in an appartment with two kids! It is roomy and Hubby keeps everything working nicely. It has a yard for the kids to play in safely.
  7. I am thankful for my health. I know I complain a lot on here, but for the most part I am healthy. I have low (not too low) blood pressure, every time it is checked. I had my blood checked recently for things like (I can't think right now, some hormone or something) anyway, my levels were good. I have back pain, but I can walk around.
  8. I am thankful for my job. I work with a good group of people. Most of the time there is no real problems with that. A raise would be nice though. Oh well.
  9. I am thankful for the internet. I just love being online! I would have to resort to regular phone books, and phone calls only, or writing letters, and using my vcr more. I love that you can watch shows online now. That's the best! And banking online. I need to check my balances.
  10. I am thankful for my happy pills. They keep me sane. I just get too sad and mopy and cry-for-no-reason without them. My brain does not produce enough saratin or something like that.
  11. I am thankful for my bed, because right now, I am so tired and I just want to crawl into it! (right now is Wednesday night)
  12. I am thankful for my digital camera. It's the best. I love technology! Eventhough it is advancing faster than I am. What the heck is blue tooth anyway?
  13. I am thankful that my list is done, because as you can tell, I was running out of ideas here. I sure hope I didn't forget anything really important!

#2 describes me so well! I'm so thankful for such a wonderful husband who puts up with me and my messes. Sometimes I'm worse than the kids. :) Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm thankful for living in modern times. Medicine, travel, fast food. All good stuff.

Seems appropriate that we list all the things we are grateful for since it's that time of the year... but I think 13 is too little if we really sit down to count... We really take so many thing for granted... even the simple things in life are really a gift to be thankful for....

Happy Thanksgiving & Happy Thursday

Nice list. :) Those are all wonderful things to be thankful for. :) I am also thankful for my husband, my family, and my friends.

The internet and digital cameras are wonderful inventions. Technology definitely advances so quickly these days.

Although I celebrated Thanksgiving last month (Canadian Thanksgiving is in October), a Happy Thanksgiving to you. :)

Lovely list! I can certainly relate to your #1 - being a Mum has always been in my blood, I'd be nothing without my son & daughter. I had their names already chosen when I was 10! :o)

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. God Bless you & yours.
