First I just want to say that I love my kids dearly and miss them while they are at school. But I love to hear about their school day when they get home. I am so proud of them for doing well. That said: Thirteen Things I can do while the kids are at school!- Go power walking at the park, and not have to watch the kids or worry about them (I never took them to the park while I walked, don't fret, only now I can go alone)
- Shower without wondering what the kids are getting into or messing up.
- Walk around naked for a while. (sorry for the visual)
- Play on the computer without being bugged by the kids or again wondering what they are getting into or messing up.
- Take a nap. Yes, I have done this already. Not today though.
- Watch Days of our Lives and Passions instead of PBS!
- I can work more hours at my job. I will be doing this today while my in-laws pick the kids up from school. That is so nice!
- Have lunch with a friend without looking at the kids menu! Also, go somewhere without a play area for lunch!
- Go shopping freely! You know how hard it is to go shopping with one or two kids in tow! They will either complain, or want to buy a toy or do both, complain when you don't buy them a toy!
- Drink and smoke! (just kidding)
- Have my boyfriends over while the hubby is at work and no one will rat me out! (kidding again! I'm just running out of ideas)
- Oh yeah, clean house without having to stop and feed anyone a snack.
- Do laundry? I really need to catch up on the laundry around here. I have baskets and baskets of clean clothes just sitting there letting the wrinkles set in real good!

I love being at home alone so no one can bother me while I'm on the computer. It seems the minute I sit down here, someone has to have my attention, use the computer, tell me all about their day, want to know what I am doing at the computer. Etc, etc. Drives me crazy.
Isn't it wonderful to be at home and do chores and not stop to cook meals. Soemtimes I just wonder, how can we possibly eat this much. I love being relieved of the tyranny of "meal schedules". On my own, I'll just grab a slice of luncheon meat or cheese and crackers!
Love the list, laughed pretty hard,
Cheers,
Candy
sounds like what I will be doing when mine head back next week
my list is up
Funny list! Reminds of the Staples commercial where the song "It's the most wonderful time of the year" starts playing and you see all the kids carrying school supplies, and the parents are grinning happily! Thanks for stopping by my 13 yesterday!
