So, the hubby is out helping his aunt and family move today. I am home with the kids. I have the radio blaring in the living room and kitchen, and I am doing stuff. Mostly I am doing laundry. I had the boy get the clothes off of his closet floor and put them into a basket for me. I need to get rid of about half of his clothes, because he is growing so fast, but I need to see them all to know what is too small. So this is a good thing. I am throwing away all of their underwear that is too small, so we don’t have those days where they wear underwear that doesn’t fit. I am throwing out socks that are too small or don’t have a match! This is a hard thing for a certified Pack Rat to do, you know. We want to hold on to everything just in case it can be used at a later date. I am trying to look at things like, “Are we going to use this again? If the house burned to the ground, is this something I would want to replace? If not, toss it out!”
I need to use that theory on most of the house. There are papers and clutter in every corner.
And the girl keeps doing drawings and rolling them up like a diploma and taping them that way, tubular, and keeping them! That takes up lots of space. And I can’t even see her artwork that way! Silly girl!
My neck is still bothering me. I really need to go see my massage girl, but I can’t find her business card!
I need to clean the house to a satisfactory condition, so that I can scrapbook without guilt.
Currently, I have approximately $40 to my name in the form of cash and checking account. I am trying to decide how to spend it best. I will get more cash on Monday night when I go to work for a couple of hours. Maybe from $10 – 20. I want to get $20 worth of a back and neck massage from the massage girl I know. The rest might be spent on grocery items. You know, since I gave up my credit cards due to my vast debt, I now do without them. It is hard to cope.
I wonder if the husband will be home in time for dinner tonight? I wonder what he will want if anything. You know how when you work hard, and get all sweaty, you don’t have much of an appetite. I guess I’ll just wait and see what happens. This is very exciting stuff to read, I know.
The girl played outside for a while today. She made “dinner” for me. I came outside and she had a “plate” (an upside down frisbee) with dinner, looked like a salad. It had grass, leaves, and dry grass clippings, and weeds. MMmmm. Very tasty!

I need to go through the kid's closets too, hopefully within the next few weeks as I'll need to start thinking about *gasp* back to school shopping soon. Too cute on the dinner! You are in the DFW area too? We live in the Fort Worth/Benbrook area. :-)
My oldest daughter, she's 12, barely goes in her room anymore it is such a disaster. I keep telling her I'm not going to clean it and that she needs to get rid of all the clothes she doesn't want but it's been over a month now and I'm starting to cave. MUST BE STRONG!!!
Good luck with the cleaning and purging.
