nothing much, just talking

Really, if you haven't yet read Karlababble or A Taste That's Bitter yet, then please do. These gals are funny and sarcastic and wonderful. Great reading!

Has anyone noticed that I changed the title of my blog from boring old "Karen's Blog"? I wanted it to be more fun, but still not confuse anyone so you know it's still me. I thought of the new title while I was trying to fall asleep one night. I might have partial insomnia or something. Sometimes it is hard to fall asleep, but then I would love to sleep all day. But, I have kids, and that will not happen. Maybe if I am lucky, I will find time to nap when school starts again. Not every day, like a lazy bum, just once in a while for a pick-me-up. A cat nap to catch up on sleep? Maybe.

This is the first year that my youngest is going to real school! Yay! I will have one in kindergarden and one in 3rd grade! And they are going to the same school, so I can pick them up at the same place and time! That will be so nice! I will also be working more hours at the salon, so more moola for the bills and such.

I pre-ordered school supply packs at the end of last year, so we won't have to fight the crowds and the stores for rediculous items that no one carries! You know, Staples says they carry all of your back to school needs, but they did not have one item we needed last year. So their guarantee means nothing. Nothing! So, no worries about that this time. I still like to stroll the aisles (how do you spell that?) of back-to-school stuff just for fun. We might still need backpacks or something.

I was only able to order one school supply pack for my 5th grader last year. The other two go to different schools and there schools didn't offer it so I still had to deal with the crowds. It's going to be great when you have the two kids in the same school with the same hours. The only time I had that was when my kids were all in the same catholic school. Now they're all in different public schools and won't ever be in the same school at the same time again. BOO HOO!!!
