2. Dry Skin with breakouts - I have to moisturize my face every day and my arms and legs often if I don't want to flake off. BUT, I also have breakouts, so it is difficult to find just the right product for my face that will moisturize and fight acne at the same time! 3. Foliculitus - or, hair follicle-itis, means an infection in the hair follicles. I first got this when we were buying a house for the first time. It stressed me out so badly, and I was packing our stuff and dealing with a lot of dust, so maybe the combination did something to me, I don't know. I had red breakout looking spots all over my legs. I was embarrassed to wear shorts in public, it looked so horrible. It has to be treated with antibiotics. AND, it can come back, once you get it, so occasionally I get a spot that looks like some. But I do have a cream that helps it go away also, so I can use that. 4. Plantar Fasciitis - a foot condition that makes the arch of your foot feel tight and non-flexible, and first thing in the mornings are the worst; sharp pains go through your feet when you first touch the floor in the mornings. I once had a cortizone shot in the bottom of my foot, ouch. And I have to excercise or strech my foot daily and roll my arches on one of thoes rolly foot things, if you know what I mean. 5. Depression - I think I have suffered from this (maybe just mildly) for most of my adult life and I was just waiting for someone to notice and tell me that I needed help, but maybe I was good at hiding it. So I finally "cracked" one day and took myself to the doctor and I couldn't stop crying during my visit, and now I am on Lexapro. I feel much better while I am on that. Now, I wasn't like a loon or completely crazy, I was just very sad, and easily made to be sad at any point. I would cry at just about anything. Now I can think more straight. 6. Lower back pain - this is recurring. I finally had an x-ray when I was in my 20's and found that there is a bone in my lower back that connects my spine to my hips that has like a crack in it. It might be made of cartilige, like when I was born, it never completely formed. Hey, so I am deformed. But you can't see it. I just easily can have a sore lower back because of this, and I am sure that my weight issue doesn't help this, but I have always had this lower back pain and that would be the reason why. 7. Neck and shoulder pain - this is also recurring, but I believe it stems from a car wreck that I had. I felt fine at the time, but not long afterward, I started having a "crick" in my neck, and it eventually swelled up so bad that my head was almost touching my shoulder on one side and the exposed neck was swollen. I had to call my dad to come take me to the doctor, because my head was stuck in this position and it hurt really bad! I had to get pain killers, muscle relaxers, and an anti-inflamatory and do neck streches in the shower under very hot water. So, sometimes, this comes back, but I can recognize it, and get my husband to rub it out and do the shower exercises and take some ibuprofin for the swelling and pain. If I catch it soon enough, I can help it before it gets bad again. 8. Gall Bladder - well, I had this taken out at the end of last year. I was having attacks and had a surgery to remove it, so all is well there now. I don't miss it at all! Actually, I think I might have been having acid reflux before it was removed also, and now I don't get that either. So if any of you have a lot of acid reflux, maybe there is a way to check your gall bladder? Could they be connected? Perhaps. 9. Allergies - I have seasonal allergies, except the season for allergies in Texas never ends, so I have constant allergies. I found that my nasal spray works the best. It is a prescription, Nasacort, I think. 10. Gestational Diabetes - This is Diabetes when I was pregnant. Actually, I think they were wrong. I had to test my blood all the time like a real diabetic, and my levels were always just fine, so that is why I think they were wrong. 11. Hemmorhoids - TMI, I know, but I'm running out of things to put. I had them removed 3 freaking times!! Was it 3? Or was it just 2? I'm not sure now. I can only remember 2, but it hurts so bad, maybe it felt like 3. The first time I remember is while I was pregnant with second child. They got out of control and had to be removed from the surface only, like an out patient thing. I had lots of pain medicine for that one! And the second time I was not pregnant. They got very out of control so I went in for a full surgery where they removed surface stuff and some internal stuff, and they got it all real good that time. Now I have absolutely no problems with that, so I guess it was worth the pain at the time. But try to imagine going potty while THAT is trying to heal up! Very Very Not Fun! Lots of pain meds then too! 12. Well, I bruise easily - I get a big 'ol bruise and I don't remember where it came from. This can happen often. Sometimes I will hit myself on something and think, yep, that'll leave a bruise, and then it will. 13. Maybe I have Sleep Apnea or some other sleep disorder? My mother had Sleep Apnea. I am tired and sleepy much of the time during the day. I would love to take naps, but usually that doesn't happen. But then when it is night and time for sleep, I sometimes have trouble falling asleep too. |

I live in Texas too, and this year there seems to be a lot of fleas and ticks!! Guess it's the drought.
Drop by if you can and see if you can guess any of my T - 13 list!
That's a lot of ailments! Back pain, however, is a pretty nagging one.
Ugh! I can relate all too well! Hope you can feel good about you despite it all! Stop by my TT, if you can!
I totally know what you mean about the allergies... being from East Texas! The weather has been crazy & my little boy has had a rough time w/his allergies & asthma.
So sorry about all of your ailments - that sure is a long list! Hope you can get some relief... that has to be so hard on you!!
Goodness that is a lot to deal with. I think it is very wise and healthy for you to take something for depression. I think if people need it they shoud take it. Good for you! My list is up!
Thank goodness so many of the ailments can be managed with diet, hydration, and exercise! I hope you're feeling well enough today!
Take care!
Oh thank you all! You can't tell by looking at me that I have pain, but they don't all bother me at the same time. That would really be horrible!
I didn't really mean for this to turn into a pity party. :)
They really are all managable, and I can manage most of them, the weight issue is the hardest!
I bruise soooo easily too. I always have, I wonder what that's about? And I have weight issues as well. *sigh* It's the pits. *sigh* again. :)
You're not fat! You're stuffed full of cute. :D
